Companies must comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation by May 25, 2018

CMS would like to call your attention to the fact that companies doing business in Europe must comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by May 25, 2018. Even if the company does not have an establishment in the EU, it might be subject to GDPR. In light of the extensive amendments of the data protection level and the severe sanctions, it is urgent to review data privacy policies and procedures.
