Alfonso García-Mingo specializes in Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate and Commercial Law. Mr. García-Mingo actively represents a variety of foreign and domestic companies, including private equity firms, and advises in the areas of acquisitions, dispositions, reorganizations, secured financing, joint ventures and distribution arrangements, often encompassing multiple jurisdictions. He is experienced in the areas of business, mining, tax, foreign investment and labor law. Mr. García-Mingo was responsible for the preparation of the Mexican Section for the Project in Corporate Law under the rule of John G. Ruggie as Special Representative of the General Secretary of the United Nations for the Business and Human Rights.
Juan Tejedo M. actively represents companies in providing advice on labor-related matters, including the hiring and termination of employees, transfer of employees as a consequence of asset-based acquisitions and mergers, as well as labor audits implemented by labor authorities. Likewise, Mr. Tejedo’s practice involves the representation of companies in connection with labor claims initiated by employees and derived from unjustified terminations or rescissions of labor relations. With respect to union-related matters, Mr. Tejedo also has extensive experience in the negotiation and execution of collective bargaining agreements, as well as the handling of strike calls and collective claims filed by unions, including claims in connection with title over collective bargaining agreements.
