Second H-1B Lottery for FY 2025 Complete

We recently blogged about the United States Customs and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) announcement that it would be selecting additional registrations to reach the fiscal year 2025 H-1B regular cap numerical allocation (65,000). Since then, USCIS announced that it has completed the second lottery and now has selected a sufficient number of registrations. Additionally, USCIS has stated that it has notified all prospective petitioners with selected registrations from this round of selection that they are eligible to file an H-1B cap-subject petition.
If you have not checked your online account, now is the time to see whether you have been selected. Only petitioners with selected registrations may file H-1B cap-subject petitions for FY 2025, which begins October 1, 2024.
